CELS is a non-governmental organization founded in 1979 to foster and protect human rights and to strengthen the democratic system and the state of law in Argentina.

The Human Rights Centre (HRC) is an academic institution that is part of the Law School of the University of Chile. Its objective is to contribute to the advancement and dissemination of the discipline of Human Rights in its broadest sense, that is to say, encompassing International Human Rights Law, International Humanitarian Law and Refugee Law.

Our mission is to promote and to strengthen respect for the human rights set out in the American Convention on Human Rights and contribute to the consolidation of democracy in the Americas through education, research, political mediation, programs for training, technical assistance in the field of human rights, and the dissemination of knowledge by means of specialized publications. Its endeavours are guided by the principles of representative democracy, the rule of law, ideological pluralism and respect for the fundamental rights and freedoms.
The University for Peace is dedicated to serving the United Nations and humanity through excellence in research and education on the roots of conflict and the tools of peace. In 1999, Secretary-General Kofi Annan expanded the role of the University for Peace to support the Peace and Security objectives of the United Nations through teaching and research in the areas of defence and promotion of human rights, the prevention and mitigation of conflict in regard to natural resources, the strengthening of civil society, the democratisation of the military and the civil police and the training of civil leaders in the techniques of mediation in support of peace processes world-wide.

Established in January 2000, the Irish Centre for Human Rights is dedicated to the study and promotion of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law. Whilst the Centre is autonomous in both its physical location and day-to-day operations, its academic staff is members of the Faculty of Law at the National University of Ireland, Galway, with whom the Centre is linked and maintains a close and cooperative working relationship.

The Human Rights Program of the Universidad Iberoamericana, Ciudad de México has as a goal, the training of legal professional from the judiciary, the NGO, the administrative bodies of the Executive branch, and the academic community as a whole in the International Human Right Law (Interamerican and Universal Systems), International Humanitarian Law and International Criminal Law.

Netherlands Institute of Human Rights: The Netherlands Institute of Human Rights (SIM) was established in 1981. The institute aims to serve as a centre for human rights studies. It conducts and promotes research projects, and collects relevant documentation on international human rights issues with an aim to enhance and distribute the knowledge on human rights procedures and practices.

The IDL considers that it has a role to play in the development and strengthening of democracy institutionally, governability and human rights situation in Peru and countries of the Latin American region sharing its accumulated experience of 20 years in issues like legal defence, analysis and monitoring of public policy, communication, promotion and training in the frame of Human Rightists democratic institutions.
The Pontifical Catholic University of Peru enjoys a high degree of both academic and social prestige. Its main labour is not only directed to teaching activities, it also tries to contribute to the strengthening of institutionalised democracy in both the humane and ethic values of our country. Its faculty of Law enjoys the highest degree of prestige in the country.

The University Institute "Francisco de Vitoria" on International and European Studies is part of the University Carlos III. This Institute promotes research and education on human rights. Three Master Programmes are organized in the framework of the Institute: Master on European Solidarity Action, Master on European Union Law and Expert Degree on Prevention and Management of international crisis. Within each of these Programmes there are courses on human rights. We cooperate closely with the Human Rights Institute "Bartolomé de las Casas", which is also part of our University. The Bartolomé de las Casas Institute develops all its activity within the human rights field. A Master on Human Rights as well as a PHD on Human rights are organized by this Institute. Both Institutes promote the research on human rights law.

Academy on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law: The Academy on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law was created to promote human rights and strengthen the links between human rights organizations, practitioners and educators worldwide and it embodies the notion of human rights partnerships across state borders. By creating and strengthening such partnerships, the Academy hopes to strengthen the culture and prominence of human rights and humanitarian law around the world.
